Project title: Athletes in Overalls: Movement Health + Wellness for Injury Prevention, Increased Efficiency and Career Longevity Project period: April 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024.
This project will include 32 Movement Workshops in Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York with the potential to involve as many as 480 farmers and farm crew. This will also give Labor-Movement the opportunity to assess farmers via pre-workshop surveys and at 6 and 12 months via online surveys for effectiveness and impact on movement health + general wellness of participating farmers.
A secondary portion of the project proposes extended coaching of 6 Maine farms, including 8 in-person contacts between farm crews and Labor-Movement over the project period, along with the development of three (minimum) SOPs in 2023 to be implemented and assessed during the 2024 season.
